The program includes a "Boss is coming" screen saver, e-mail support for Hotmail, a built-in calculator, the ability to remove HTML tags, grammar and spell checking capabilities, a built-in clock, and two-function buttons using the left and right mouse clicks.

It supports OLE objects, Microsoft Office filters, hyperlinks, command-line parameters, the RTF format, templates, and plug-ins, and features a Clipboard viewer, text encryption and merging, and drag-and-drop capability.

Baikal WordPad also includes a built-in SMTP e-mail client with an address book, undo and redo capabilities, find and replace functions, automatic file save and backup, and right-click pop-up menu functionality.
