is a command line application with filter functionality that sorts input lines depending on the similarity of the items contained.
Simlis works independently of item positions by default. It accepts physical lines (Ctrl-Linefeed delimited) or "phrases" automatically generated based on given delimiters. It takes every line from standard input, calculates the similarity in relation to all other lines, and inserts it into the appropriate line position of standard output.
Simlis is well suited for sorting address lists, directories, and even for cluster, literature, and linguistic analysis.
This program gives you the ability to: show a similarity score related to the respective surrounding lines; skip assumed header data in every line; define a line start character, strings to be omitted, stop characters for generating "phrases", and byte value range for full binary operation; show input sequence line or phrase number on the output; and more.
