The program's main window displays the current date and time, and has buttons that will "Exit Windows" immediately, or put WinExit to "Sleep" for a number of minutes and then shutdown your computer. If you need to, you can later abort a timed shutdown. WinExit also includes a "Hot Restart" button that promptly reboots your computer, and a "Windows Version" button that reminds you which operating system your computer is using.

The program runs as a convenient icon in the System Tray area of the Windows taskbar where it provides quick access to its core functionality.
