A closer look at VerInfoTip

VerInfoTip is a simple extension to Windows Explorer. It displays the version information and file format of executable files when available within a tooltip whenever the mouse is held above an executable file either within Explorer or on the Desktop. If Explorer is configured to display as a Web page, then the version information is displayed in the web view panel.

Tooltips are displayed for the following file types: BPL, COM, CPL, DLL, EXE, OCX, and SCR.
