Overview

What is Tippy?

lets you hold your mouse over a filename to display long filenames that have been cut off because the column width of the display window is not wide enough.

In depth

A closer look at Tippy

Do you like using long file names, but are tired of having them cut off because the column is not wide enough? With Tippy you can forget the annoying resizing of windows and columns. Tippy introduces Listtips to Windows 95, which are similar to tooltips (the small yellow tips which pop up when you hold the mouse on a toolbar button). Simply hold your mouse over the filename and the full text pops up. After Tippy is installed, this feature is automatically available to all 32-bit-apps that use the Windows 95 common control User Interface, including Explorer, Backup, Registry editor and others.
