What is MDFolder?
MDFolder : A slim alternative to the default method of creating a new folder in any location directly from the context menu by providing the name first
In depth
A closer look at MDFolder
One of the fastest ways to access basic file management options in Windows is through the context menu. However, it might be a little time consuming with regular methods and this is where third-party enhancements come in handy. For instance, MDFolder comes as an alternative way to create new folders with custom name. The application comes in a lightweight package which doesn’t necessarily require installation. However, the provided executable has little to no use alone, and you need to right-click the INF file and install it for the application to properly integrate in your system. The default function is to create a new folder in the source of the executable, with a prompt which shows up to write down the folder name. Only two options are at your disposal, such as to confirm the new folder, and to drop all changes. A method to bypass this issue is to assign a hotkey command, but installing the INF is a better option.
