Overview

What is RemConn?

removes connections on Novell servers.

In depth

A closer look at RemConn

RemConn is designed to allow users without Operator or Supervisor rights to clear NetWare connections from multiple servers. This can be useful in environments with many servers where users are restricted to a single logon. A list of servers that you pre-determine, is checked for the connection, and it clears it if found.

RemConn consists of two programs, a client program, used to make the request to clear the connection and a server program to process the request. The server program runs on a PC logged in with operator or supervisor rights to the servers to be accessed. This can be an NT server, NT workstation or Win9X computer. The server processes the requests from the clients. After the request is processed, the client is informed of the results and the transaction is logged. The log file records the time/date, user requesting the connection clear and the servers that the connection was cleared from.
