is a Windows Network utility which allows you to replace both the NetWatcher and WinPopup functions.
NetControl is the core of the NetControl software package. It runs as a convenient icon in the System Tray area of the Windows taskbar, and must stay resident.
NetControl includes a LAN IP address scanner, an enhanced mail system compatible with WinPopup, a way to temporarily disable shares (de-sharing), user banning (banning lists), network activity logging, a log analyzer, and more. All other NetControl modules can be launched from its popup-menu.
NetShare is the server control module. It is here that you survey network activity on your computer, and specify which users to ban and which shares to de-share. It is also here that you find most of the advanced settings for NetControl and the server.
NetScan can quickly scan the entire TCP/IP intranet for nodes, and report whether they are alive, not present, and more. You can also test ping-times.
NetComms lets you send mail and join the chat zone. The mail system is designed like a basic e-mail client. You can reply and forward messages, include headers and signatures, and use the "validator" function, which can check if the receiver is valid.
In addition, you can send messages larger than 300 characters (which WinPopup was limited to).
