GB is the computer standard of Mainland China's Simplified Chinese, and BIG5 is the computer standard of Taiwan's Traditional Chinese.

The program includes a built-in Chinese GB font data, and can be used to read GB or BIG5 texts in any language edition of Windows.

GBView's features include: the ability to view both GB and ASCII text; BIG5 text viewing in a simplified Chinese font; BIG5 files convertion to GB format; and up to 32,768 lines of viewing.
