A closer look at DLSplit

The utility includes zip and unzip functions, a search feature to quickly find files to split or merge, and a compare option to check the accuracy of split files using a checksum calculation during reconstruction. It also keeps a log file of all its operations to help track backup files.

DLSplit can create up to 99 split files using file extensions 001-099. Each split file has a 256-byte verification header. You can merge your split files separately from DLSplit using the included DLMerge utility. You can also use the "quick split" function to create self-joining split files.

The program also includes password file encryption, ZIP archive repair, and printing options.
