With a button click you can switch from a single to a dual file manager interface. Another button provides an enhanced "Tree List View." With the right combination of these interface mode buttons set you get a tabbed document viewer that can edit text files, display images, render HTML files, make full use of ZIP archives, play multimedia files, and show the contents of Microsoft Office 97 documents. FmEdit98 makes full use of drag-and-drop functionality and context menus. It also includes a calculator, a calendar, buttons to open DOS windows and file finder windows, links to the disk scanning and de-fragmentation tools, a hex editor, an FTP client, a variety of system commands (from disk formatting to system shutdown) and more.
