is a disk cataloging application which enables the storage of file and folder names from a disk (floppy, CD-ROM, ZIP, and so on) to a database with powerful sorting capabilities.
Files in archives, such as ARJ, RAR, and ZIP can be extracted and stored as well, and a description can be attached to any folder or file in the database.
The description can be made either manually, or constructed automatically from the file contents.
Unlike common disk cataloging programs which display disk contents as one, long, simple list of files, DiskBase offers a user interface with a tree and a list of files in the current folder.
You can sort your database records by name and extension, extension and name, date and time, size, as well as disk and folder.
In addition, you can sort a disk list by size of free space, name, and size.
DiskBase runs on
Windows 95/98/Me/NT/2000/Windows 10/11
