allows you to set up the user-configurable security settings within a single software application.
Netpulse lets you define a security policy which specifies the approved values for each of the security settings. Its context-sensitive help provides you with a detailed description for each of the security settings as well as information to determine the approved values for your Windows NT computing environment.
After the security policy is defined, the program can assess the security settings against the security policy for all the networked Windows NT computers accessible to the workstation or server where Netpulse is installed.
During the analysis of the assessment results, any security settings that do not match the requirements of the established security policy can be remotely corrected through Netpulse.
It includes a powerful report manager which enables the assessment results to be printed using predefined or user-defined formats.
Once the security settings of the Windows NT machines have been configured to match the user-selected security policy, the security settings can be audited through the use of automated assessments that can be scheduled periodically.
Netpulse also includes a variety of security analysis and browser utilities, which can be used to scan the user accounts and network resources within a Windows NT computing environment to determine its security posture.
