In depth
A closer look at PGPClick for Windows 95
It provides an uncluttered push-button interface. Text to encrypt or decrypt is placed on the Windows clipboard. By clicking on the appropriate PGPClick button or menu item, the text will be processed and the result stored back on the clipboard where it can be easily pasted into another program. PGPClick will prompt for any needed User ID's and/or the user's pass phrase. It will then construct the proper PGP command line and execute PGP. In addition to the simple encryption functions, PGPClip also provides a Windows interface to the key management functions in PGP, allowing one to easily manage their keyring. PGPClip allows simple editing and viewing of the clipboard. The clipboard can be loaded from a text file or saved back to disk. In addition, PGPClick can be set up to automatically highlight text in a target program (such as an email program, newsreader or text editor) and copy it to the clipboard before running PGP. It will then paste the results back into the target program. This makes using PGPClick extremely easy, as it totally eliminates having to copy and paste using the clipboard.
