Overview

What is Absolute Security?

lets you use strong encryption to protect and compress files that are on your PC or sent by e-mail.

In depth

A closer look at Absolute Security

Absolute Security allows you to create self-decrypting executables that can be sent to anyone. When the recipient runs the executable they will be prompted for the password and the file will decrypt itself.

Files are automatically compressed as they are being encrypted, and you have the option of placing more than one file in a single archive. Files can be encrypted from Windows Explorer or the desktop with a simple drag and drop.

Absolute Security also offers the ability to securely erase the files you want to delete. Unlike the normal delete process, which merely replaces the first letter of a filename to allow it to be overwritten, this function obliterates the file contents.

Verdict

Should you download Absolute Security?

Absolute Security runs on Windows 95/98/Me/NT/2000/Windows 10/11 and is available under the 30-day Trial license — the installer is 726 KB. We’ve catalogued it under Encryption Decryption.
