e2eSoft Pictures ScreenSaver is a lightweight application that gets installed as a screensaver and gives you the possibility to create a folder whose containing photographs you want to view in the slideshow. It features several transitions.
View a screensaver of your favorite photos
Following a quick setup operation that doesn't need special attention, e2eSoft Pictures ScreenSaver gets copied to the Windows directory, and it brings up the Windows screensaver settings panel, where you can preview the current folder contents and make adjustments.By default, the "Pictures" directory is set for using its containing pictures but you can change it to anything else. The developer hasn't specified the type of files supported by this screensaver but we've noticed that it works with BMP, PNG and JPEG. On the bright side, if the directory has files with unsupported extensions, they are ignored so no errors should pop up because of this.
Set the picture duration and transition
As far as screensaver settings are concerned, you can adjust the on-screen duration of each photo involved in the slideshow, ask the tool to preserve the original aspect ratio of each image when performing the transitions, include subfolders to view their containing pictures too, as well as choose the preferred transition effect from 3D, blend, shift, wipe or all.The screensaver worked smoothly on Windows 10 in our tests, even if it hasn't received updates for a significant amount of time. It had minimal impact on the computer's performance. Too bad that it doesn't have more transition effects to choose from.
Simple slideshow player
All aspects considered, e2eSoft Pictures ScreenSaver is a decent utility that offers a simple solution for playing a slideshow with favorite pictures. It can be easily configured, even by those with no previous experience in such software. However, it doesn't bring any exciting features to the table.
