DotPad
is an ActiveX component that allows the user to write characters using a pointing device such as a mouse, touch-screen, or a writting tablet.It recognizes the user's handwriting by utilizing nine detection areas that correspond to the nine visible dots. The result window then shows the recognized character. Using DotPad is very close to hand-writing. Pattern recognition difficulties are circumvented rather than solved.
