allows you to integrate SMS and paging support into your applications.
PSWinCom Component Suite has been designed and developed for 32-bit systems and uses COM technology. The PSWinCom Component Suite provides you with a PSWinCom.DLL file which is the only file needed to utilize the software.
The main features of the component suite include: the ability to list, select, and configure a proper modem device to be used (TAPI); simple queue-management of messages to allow batch-sending; the ability to send the messages in the queue to a short message service central (SMSC); the ability to keep track of the sending progress and results through events; and the ability to receive and send messages through a cellular phone connected directly to your computer.
PSWinCom Component Suite supports the following protocols: telocator alphanumeric input protocol (TAP); universal computer protocol (UCP); and the AT+C command set.
The TAP protocol is also known as PET or IXO.
The UCP protocol consists of several different operations, and PSWinCom Component Suite supports the most often used operations.
AT+C is a proprietary sub-set of the AT command set developed by Nokia. It can be used to send and receive SMS messages through a Nokia Cellular Phone connected to your PC by Nokia Cellular Data Suite 2.0 (cable and driver).
