It includes four components. The HexDns component allows you to retrieve any DNS record, check domain availability, verify email addresses through MX records, create NsLookup-style utilities, geographically locate servers through LOC records, and more.
The HexIcmp component allows you to perform pings, traceroutes, and other network probes.
The HexLookup component lets you look up IP addresses, perform reverse lookups, obtain local host IP addresses, and more.
The HexTcpQuery component enables simple TCP queries, text or binary, on any port. It allows you to grab web pages through HTTP, retrieve Whois records, finger user accounts, and talk to various other information sources.
HexGadgets can be used with any ActiveX-capable development tools, including Active Server Pages, Visual Basic, and Visual C++.
