In depth
A closer look at SPIS WebWatch
The program can monitor connections and servers as well as any Web site applications behind them, such as CGI programs. When a problem is detected, WebWatch can log the problem, display it, sound an audible alarm, send a warning email (or fax via a faxmail service) to one or more addresses, run an external program on the WebWatch computer (a phone pager for example) or request another URL from the web server (such as a CGI-DOS URL which runs an on-site program to fix the problem or restart the server). All of these actions can be independently customized for each URL. There is also an external link verifying option.
