is a Java applet which can be used to implement a password protection scheme for a Web site.
This scheme is a complete client-side solution as well, not requiring any modifications on the Web server.
Protected pages cannot be bookmarked, are never cached, and protection can be setup so that the name of the directory containing the pages remains secret.
The URLs of protected pages are encoded so that they are not legible to people who view the source of the Web page, and each individual granted access to view the protected page(s) can be assigned a unique user name and password.
Moreover, passwords are one-way encrypted so that if users do view the password file, they would not be able to acquire a valid password.
In addition, the applet manages the navigation and loading of the protected pages.
