provides you with a personalized sub-domain which automatically points to your current dynamic IP address whenever you are connected to the Internet.
The DynIP Client allows you to refer to your machine by means of a static domain name (rather than its dynamic IP address). DynIP eliminates the need for posting your current IP address to a Web page, or sending email to your friends informing them of your current IP address. Simply register with DynIP's service and pick your own personalized sub-domain name. DynIP's server then guarantees that your domain name is resolved to your current IP address anytime you are connected to the Internet. You can also have static IP addresses to be known by an alternate domain name.
The client software ensures that your static domain name constantly refers to your current IP address, and also provides for a convenient desktop hour clock, an online timer and connect-charge counter, and a keep-alive utility. The client can also synchronize your computer's clock to a time server on the Internet.
