A closer look at Wildfire

Wildfire can be used for training firefighters in wildland and urban interface fire situations.

You command an engine, water tender and dozer to protect structures in up to eight different terrains. You dispatch an engine to the scene, and lay up to 400' of 1.5 inch attack hose. You control the nozzle on spray or stream, using water or foam. The engine has a 500 gallon tank with a 300 gpm pump and a 60 GPM portable pump.

Wildfire allows you to choose to dispatch the water tender to refill your tank or use your portable pump to refill from a nearby lake or stream. You can dispatch the dozer tender to the fire, unload and drive the dozer to cut fire lines. Back fires can be set, but watch for sudden wind changes. Some maps have hydrants to refill tanks but on others you have to rely on water bodies.

The wind direction is selectable in eight different quadrants or all eight subcardinal directions, and maximum wind speed can be set from ten to sixty knots.
