Take-1's Microsoft Visual Studio-style user interface lets you dive into it right away. It also allows you to bring a file or project directly from the tree list into the Take-1 internal image and language editors without having to launch it into another application.

Its Image Editor lets you conveniently produce very impressive graphics in just minutes, unmatched by using some of the expensive graphic packages. Filestream.com's proprietary FFL (Free Form Layers) technology in Take-1 allows you to create composition from existing images. The optimization tools let you visualize results on the fly so you can choose from various size reduction options that best suit your needs. It even automatically generates HTML code for you to insert graphic files into Web pages by pasting in the code.

Its Syntax Editors supports most popular programming source codes or languages, including color coded syntax display. It includes ASCII, ASP, BASIC, BATCH, C/C++, DCL, FORTRAN, HTML, JAVA, LISP, PASCAL, PERL, PHP, PYTHON, REXX, RESOURCES, SGML/XML, SHELL, SIOD, SQL, TCL, and TEX.

Take-1 comes with 13 toolbars, full of frequently used tools at your fingertips, plus 19 image processing and special effects filters, 100+ levels of image optimization, 24 Syntax Editors for codes or languages, decoding filters for over 100 file types, not to mention its integrated Internet supporting tools.

It also provides comprehensive File and Project management tools so you can open your source file in multiple formats, find, compress, backup, and restore your files, as well as a collection of supporting tools for working on the Internet, such as local and remote file preview, integrated MAPI E-mail, FTP, downloading Web sites, and more.

Take-1 offers transparent Remote Access so you can transparently access and edit server files instead of having to manually FTP download, edit, then manually reupload it. It supports simultaneous multiple FTP connections. Other Internet features, such as HTTP Upload and Download, Telnet, and Trace Route, are also included for your convenience.
