In depth

A closer look at Spectroscope (by Headoffice)

Spectroscope shows you how an HTML page looks with different combinations of text and background colors. Colors can be selected from a visual palette or entered as Hex or RGB numbers. The HTML code can then be copied to the Clipboard and pasted into any HTML editor.

Spectroscope has the unique ability to accurately display colors in a 256 color mode, even if your system is running in True Color mode. The program does this by displaying selected colors in a browser-safe palette without dithering. This shows you exactly how the colors will look to someone browsing your page with their graphics display set to 256 colors.
