A closer look at StoreCreator
Frustrated with the complexities of ecommerce? Put your storefront on the Web quickly, easily, and cost effectively with StoreCreator. This standalone solution features a compact FITB-style database manager that helps you to easily create product categories, subcategories, and descriptions. Each product profile can include long and short descriptions, links to images, tax and shipping details, and specials pricing. A database-import wizard walks you through integrating an existing database. Publishing the results is also a snap: Simply select a template, and the site is generated and stored in a single, ready-to-upload directory. The built-in template editor lets folks with HTML and scripting knowledge customize store appearance and behavior. The catalog can be used on any type of Web space, but navigation is Javascript-dependent, so visitors will need a newer Web browser to shop. You can create and host an unlimited number of stores with a single license. No CGI, Java, or scripting skills are needed, and no server-side software is required. The author even supplies a secure server checkout counter (for an extra fee) that makes StoreCreator a total end-to-end solution.
