The search engines (Alta Vista, Ask Jeeves, Audio Find, Brittanica, Profusion, Yahoo, and others) are divided into 13 categories, including Auctions, Business, and Entertainment. Results are displayed in your default Web browser.

You simply select a search engine, enter any word or phrase, and click the "Go" button.

Spectre can run as a convenient icon in the System Tray area of the Windows taskbar.
