The program's features include: the ability to simultaneously use up to 27 search engines, including Altavista, Excite, Hotbot, Infoseek, Lycos, Magellan, Webcrawler, Yahoo, and ZDNet; a query wizard; support for advanced Boolean queries (AND, OR, ANDNOT, and NEAR); logging (history) capability; the ability to search on multiple queries simultaneously; and specific Web site "crawling" and "banning" capabilities.

You can schedule searches, use proxy servers and firewalls, set up rules for information filtering, and automatically keep track of changing search engine formats.

SearchPad provides you with the title, URL, and summary of each document; automatically eliminates any duplicates and broken links; lets you sort the search results by URL; classifies the results by degree of relevance; and organizes them into topics.
