Random Item Picker is a simple to use tool that allows you to select a random entry from a given list. The program supports CSV files and can extract random entries from the available ones. You may select one or more entries at once and save them in a separate list, which you can export, in CSV format.

Random item selection

Random Item Picker is designed to extract items from the list you provide, based on 0 to 100% chances. The application allows you to load CSV files and edit the current entries, before starting the random selection process. The program can only load the first column from the CSV file.By default, the chances for any of the entries to be selected are considered equal, but you may easily change the percentages. The program can randomize the chances of being selected for each of the entries in the list. Alternatively, you can equalize their chances with one mouse click.

Sort, reshuffle or filter items

Random Item Picker allows you to arrange the items in the input list, by shuffling them or sorting them alphabetically, in ascending or descending order. It can scan the list and remove duplicate entries, as well as remove the items that have already been picked, to prevent selecting the same items.The list of randomly selected items can be appended each time you run the task. You can enable this feature by checking the ‘Append picked items’ option in the toolbar.

Create new, random lists, based on provided input

Random Item Picker is suitable for cases when you need to select items from a given list, based on impartial chance. The program can create lists of one or several items, randomly selected from the imported list. It only supports loading and exporting *.txt and *.csv files, but you can easily edit the imported entries.
