is a space simulator which allows you to journey to the stars on your PC.
The program can run as a standalone application or as a screen saver, enabling you to search through a database of over 20,000 stars by name, distance, mass, luminosity, and type.
Using a realistic algorithm, Star Explorer generates fictitious planets and moons to be explored once you arrive into a new system, mapping and shading attractive textures to create a pleasant visual experience.
It also includes data for each planet, such as mass, diameter, density, temperature, distance from its star, rotational period, orbital period, axial tilt, and number of moons; visually appealing, 3D-rendered graphics for planets and moons; selectable travel velocities from warp one all the way to transwarp one; point-and-go-to navigation; and historical mission statistics.
