Overview
is a simulator and encyclopedia of the Solar System.
In depth
The simulator includes over 300,000 accurately-positioned stars, can display all constellation figures, and show you the solar eclipse of 1999.
You have full control over the flow of time, which can be run at almost any rate, and even backwards.
You can adjust the camera, and modify its pan, tilt, roll, zoom, and velocity properties, as well as interact with an overhead map of the solar system.
All objects are rendered in 3D using high-resolution texturing; camera position and simulator parameters can be saved for later replay; and you can capture images from the simulator.
Every planet and moon is covered in the encyclopedia, along with several comets, asteroids, and of course the Sun. A total of 224 topics, 500 images, and 50 movies are included.
The program also includes over 150 related links.
