speeds up your Web browsing by caching Domain Name Server lookup information.
Each time you visit a site, your browser must contact a Domain Name Server (DNS) to translate the site's numeric IP (Internet Protocol) address into a domain name. Your browser keeps this information in its cache for a short period of time, so you may find yourself constantly waiting for DNS lookups even for sites you visit frequently.
SpeedyNet works in the background by keeping a local table of DNS IP addresses on your hard drive. It tells your system to check that table first, before asking the DNS at your ISP. This can result in faster browsing, especially as you move from site to site. SpeedyNet can also adjust your MaxMTU Registry setting, which can significantly speed up Web browsing.
SpeedyNet works with any program that uses TCP/IP.
