is an astronomy application for both casual skywatchers and amateur astronomers.
Distant Suns allows you to explore the Solar System, visit Mars, observe the Earth move around its orbit, and view the sky over your location.
It contains a database of over 20,000 stars, and can display the sky from almost any date in history and any location on Earth or the solar system.
In conjunction with the SETI@Home group, which can be reached, the program is capable of reading SETI (Search for ExtraTerrestrial Intelligence) data files, and display to the SETI@Home users the part of the sky that they are currently analyzing for signals from extraterrestrials.
In addition, the program includes charts and tables, a calendar, information about various celestial events, the ability to zoom, and printing capability.
Please note that Distant Suns also runs with Window 3.1.
