Overview

What is MailAssistant?

uses an animated character (Merlin) to read out your e-mail messages and notify you of any new ones as they arrive.

In depth

A closer look at MailAssistant

MailAssistant can be scheduled to check your e-mail account at a specific time interval, and read out the abstract of each message in a natural-sounding, human voice.

Before you download all your e-mail messages from your ISP, you can preview the sender's address and the e-mail's subject and size, and then delete unwanted messages from the server.

You can also use MailAssistant to read Web pages, various documents, and the contents of the Clipboard.

In addition it supports an unlimited number of POP3 accounts, and can work behind any proxy/firewall (SOCKS) server.

The program runs as a convenient icon in the System Tray area of the Windows taskbar.
