lets you convert MIME-encoded attachments to UU format for a UUCP (Unix to Unix CoPy) account.This utility scans any incoming UUCP message files. If it discovers a MIME-encoded file attachment, it is removed, UU-encoded, and attached to the original message in place of the MIME-encoded attachment.
If multiple file attachments are attached to a single message, MIME2UU creates multiple messages, each with the original message text, plus one of the single file attachments until all attachments have their own message.
It also keeps a backup copy of the original message, and creates a new log file each time it is run.
MIME2UU can only handle 100 attachments per session, 300 lines of text per message, and store the first 50 characters of the original file name attachment.
