is a professional audio mixing automation program designed to work with "off-the-shelf" MIDI hardware.
VMix95 stores Fader Moves and Mute Switch changes in real-time for up to 64 Audio Channels. It displays and edits all Fader levels in dB (not MIDI controller values). It allows up to 16 Fader Groups and 16 Mute Groups. The Fader Groups are truly "proportional" meaning that the Mix between the Group Member Tracks is accurately maintained over the entire travel of the Master Fader.
To run V-Mix, you will need the following: a MIDI interface, a source of MIDI Time Code (MTC) (many MIDI interfaces have SMPTE read/write capability built in), a MIDI-controlled Audio Level Controller (ie: NICHE ACM, Mackie OTTO, JL Cooper MixMaster, or similar), and a source of MIDI Continuous Controller data (ie: JL Cooper FaderMaster, Peavey PC1600, Roland MCR-8, or similar).
VMix was designed by a recording engineer and studio owner.
