is a rhythm training program that develops rhythmic reading, perception, and performance skills, using a fast-paced "video game" format.
The program is fun and challenging for a variety of skill levels, and can be played by beginners or by students with considerable musical experience.
You are guided by a bouncing face and must "tap" the corresponding rhythm on a computer or MIDI keyboard. Points are received for correctly tapping a complete exercise. A "face" is lost for every incorrect tap on the first time through each exercise. Free practice is then allowed until the exercise is mastered. When all the faces are lost, the game is over. The game can also be played with two players. Rhythmaticity provides quick help and feedback. When an error is made, you can select "Analysis" from the help screen and instantly see a detailed interpretation of your accuracy, showing whether each tap is early or late, and by how much.
A MIDI card and a MIDI keyboard are optional. This demo supports SoundBlaster, Pro Audio Spectrum 16, and MPU_401 MIDI cards, or you can use the computer speaker.
