In depth
A closer look at Music Lab
It displays the student's singing voice on the computer monitor, and provides instant visual feedback on all vocal input. You can "see" perfect (and imperfect) intonation and rhythmic precision. There are eight interrelated modules in the curriculum, that concentrate on pitch skills, rhythmic skills, writing music that you hear, and reading and singing written melodic phrases. It is comprised of basic and advanced courses to address individual needs and specific skill levels, and can be used from the fourth grade up through university. It also includes a complete record-keeping system that makes it easy for the teacher to monitor students' progress, set standards and assign exercises according to individual needs.
