You can display the score and play back the melody at the same time, as well as harmonize, add drums, and create variations automatically.

Alternatively, you can record the melody as well as other parts using your computer keyboard, or a MIDI keyboard using step, synchronous, or continuous mode.

In addition, Mostly Tonal supports editing at several levels, enabling fragments you create in this manner to be integrated into a complete composition through the use of the arrangement window.

Please note that the program also runs in Windows 9x.
