The program expands standard selection and editing functionality (i.e., cut, copy, and paste) with a host of powerful features, including CD ripping (digital CD audio extraction), unique beat-selection tools, and support for DirectX and VST plug-ins. It uses "peak" files for faster file manipulation, and performs direct-to-disk editing for manipulation of large samples.

Mobius can increase or decrease a loop's speed without changing its pitch. It can also transpose or bend the pitch of a loop in real time, without changing the loop's speed. This lets you overlay loops that would otherwise be at a different tempo or pitch.

You can use Mobius to: automatically pick out (and optionally replace) drum samples and other sounds in loops; map samples to your sampler; reprogram or create new loops and fills; edit vocals and other types of samples; apply filters and add effects (such as reverb) in real time; and much more.

The program supports: WAV and AIF audio formats; SoundFont, DLS, Gigasampler, and Pinnacle files; and the Yamaha A3000 / EX, Akai S2000 series, and E-Mu ESI samplers. An auto-update facility keeps you in touch with the latest releases.
