In depth
A closer look at MidiNotate
How would you like to be able to turn MIDI files into printable sheet music? MidiNotate does just that. Just open up any standard .mid file in the program, and in just seconds the file is converted to standard music notation. You can read it off the screen, send it to your printer, or listen to the file using the built-in player. It's a lot of fun to watch as the cursor follows the notes. The program includes several features that make searching and downloading MIDI files from the Internet more convenient. Plus, after making changes to a song (such as modifying key signatures, reordering staves, or reassigning tracks to other MIDI devices), you can permanently save the changes in a .not file. MidiNotate is incredibly easy to use, but is well documented in case you get stuck or would like to know more about the inner workings of the program.
