is a collection of tools designed to help musicians and producers work with audio samples.
The program includes a "timestretch" calculator, a "beats per minute" (BPM) calculator, and a "note and measure length" calculator.
Timestretching is a technique used to make audio samples longer or shorter without changing pitch. Just input the BPM of the original sample and the desired BPM of the stretched sample. MadMagnus StudioCalculator shows you the percentage to stretch the sample.
You can have the program calculate BPM simply by clicking the "Tap Tempo" button in time to a song's quarter notes. Accuracy increases with each click. However, the calculator is not designed to cope with changing tempos; it calculates BPM as an average of all taps. If you do not press the button alone for 3 seconds, calculation starts over.
The last calculator determines the exact length of notes or measures, in terms of milliseconds or samples. You can use it to find the precise delay time for a digital delay patch, compute the exact length of a sampled loop, and more.
