It comes with hundreds of sample patterns. The patterns use a single ("Drummer") MIDI player-track and can be up to 16 bars in length and can drive any MIDI sound source (such as sound cards, samplers, drum machines and synthesizers).

Using The*Drumz Wizard with other MIDI software and deviced is easy using the Standard MIDI File importing and exporting capabilities. Advanced song-sequencing features include repeating sections and tempo changes.

An integrated Rhythm Wizard is included for automatic entry of repeating riffs and motifs.
