The program uses the Xaudio MPEG decoding engine to play MPEG audio layer 1 files (MPG, MP1), MPEG audio layer 2 files (MP2) and MPEG audio layer 3 files (MP3). It provides seamless, stable, and reliable playback, and includes volume, balance, and equalizer controls.

MojoPG3 features a sophisticated playlist editor with track repositioning, shuffle, and sort functions. It uses its own powerful playlist format but can import and export standard M3U and PLS playlists.

The user interface is customizable, so you can easily adapt MojoPG3 without a complicated external skin tool. You can set the appearance of controls, text, background, frames and every other user interface element without "painting" anything. MojoPG3 lets you save settings to a file so you can share your "style" with friends. The program can even remember a different user interface style for each track in a playlist, so the appearance of the player changes with every played track.
