Overview

What is SonicBurn?

lets you play MP3 and WAV files as well as record them to CDs.

In depth

A closer look at SonicBurn

SonicBurn lets you play CDs, and MP3 and WAV files; rip CD tracks to MP3 format, and record MP3 and WV files to CD-ROMs. (A CD recorder is required for burning songs onto five-inch shiny discs, of course.)

The player component offers an attractive interface with an equalizer, CDDB support, and a playlist module and can be used for free indefinitely. You'll need to electronically register at no charge to activate the CDDB support, but you're still limited to recording two full CDs and creating a maximum of 20 MP3 files until you purchase the premium version. Make sure you restart your system after installing the program.
