compresses WAV, PCM and AIF audio files into the new streaming VQF format.
SoundVQ uses a new "TwinVQ" technology developed by NTT that uses a very high compression rate that has very little effect on sound quality. VQF files are frequently much smaller than comparable MP3 audio files.
The SoundVQ encoder lets you convert WAV, PCM, AIF and AIFF audio files into VQF. You can change frequencies and convert stereo files to mono, as well as encode plural files. With the batch and script capabilities, large numbers of files can be quickly encoded.
VQF files can be placed on Web sites and because streaming is supported, they can be played while they are being downloaded.
