If you're looking for a simple way to create MP3 files from your CDs, check out MPAction Rip'n'Coder. This freeware tool lets you digitally extract tracks from audio CDs and save them in WAV or MP3 formats. It comes with an internal MP3 encoder that may be used for 30 days or 20 encodings; after that you'll need to buy the unlimited version in MPAction MP3 Tools. Or, it will work with any of the Windows compression codecs.

Although MPAction Rip'n'Coder doesn't have CDDB support, it offers a built-in ID3 tag editor. Or, you can use it with the developer's free MPAction JukeBox player, which supports the online CD database.

Other features include Windows Explorer context-menu integration, several attractive skins, and automatic M3U playlist generation
