automates the task of entering ID3 Tags into your MP3 files.
The program lists all songs in your selected MP3 directory. When you select a song, its associated Tag data ("Title," "Artist," "Album," Genre," "Comment," and "Year") is shown. You can edit the fields and click "Apply Tag" to update the information. QuickTag can also set the Tags of multiple files simultaneously. Just enter the information once, and click "Set Tags."
If your files follow a naming convention of "ARTIST - SONGNAME.mp3", the program can extract that information and set the Tags accordingly. There is some flexibility with field delimiters. "Underscore" to "Space" conversion is also an option. Finally, QuickTag has the ability to rename MP3 files by their "Artist" and "Filename" Tags, but the format is rigid.
