Baby Keyboard : Transform your keyboard into a playground for children by disabling certain keys (e.g. Windows logo key, Windows logo combinations) in order to make sure you don’t lose important info
Baby Keyboard is a small software application whose purpose is to help you block several keys from your keyboard. It can be deployed on Windows 2K, XP, Vista, 7, and 2003.The tool is specifically designed to allow you to leave children in front of the computer tapping on the keyboard without having to worry that you may lose important documents and files.
Portable running mode
This is a portable program. You can keep it stored on USB flash drives or other portable devices and carry it with you all the time. Gaining access to the tool’s features requires only opening the executable file because there’s no installation included in the process. What’s more, you can open it without administrative privileges on the target computer and uninstall it using a quick deletion task because it does not leave entries in your Windows registry and store other configuration files. The settings files are actually saved on the storage device.
Simplistic looks
You are welcomed by a clean and minimalist design that impresses with its ease of use. The configuration process is automatically activated each time you open the application so you do not need to perform any special tweaks.Keeping the utility opened is just what you need in order to block certain keys. You can revert the changes and go back to a fully responsive keyboard by closing the application.
Disable several keys
Baby Keyboard is able to block the Windows logo key, Windows logo combinations (like ‘Win+L), additional keys, ‘Alt’ + several combinations, ‘Ctrl’ + different combinations, and ’Shift’ + multiple combinations. The ‘Ctrl+Alt+Del’ remains active during the blocking mode in case you need to repair some problematic scenarios. Safe keys are also working.Tests have shown that Baby Keyboard carries out a task quickly. It does not eat up a lot of CPU and memory resources so the overall performance of the computer is not affected.
Bottom line
To sum things up, Baby Keyboard comes packed with a basic suite of features for helping you transform your keyboard into a playground for children. On the downside, it only works with preset blocking options so it does not give you the freedom to manually enable or disable several keys.
