For a little extra boost in efficiency, monitoring user activity on a computer proves to be quite useful. Various applications give you the possibility to view and limit access to certain features of a computer and one of them is LUPC. It offers an easy to use interface with which you can keep track of user activity and restrict access in specific time intervals.

Lightweight and easy to use

The application's main window is cleverly designed to provide quick access to available functions. A side panel displays available users and selecting one lets you carefully set amount of authorized time.Additionally, hitting the “General Parameters” button puts several options at your disposal. You can choose to warn the user before authorized usage period ends at a specific time in advance. Moreover, a sound can be set for the warning, as well as choosing monitoring options, like enabling it while the computer is active or only for selected applications.

Easily schedule restriction intervals

From the main window, time can be carefully managed. A detailed timeline is displayed, each day split into 15 minute sections. Clicking on one of them enables restrictions, or selecting more at a time.You are also able to set a total amount of access hours per day or week, and even when monitoring is to end.

Far from being a pro

Unfortunately, the application only gives you the possibility to monitor, with limited restriction options. Only certain applications can be banned, with no integrated function that gives you access to operating system settings. Moreover, there is no way to issue a report for a detailed view.

Taking everything into consideration, we can say that LUPC is an easy way to monitor and restrict user activity in certain time intervals. The interface is friendly enough, but the lack of advanced options keep it far from being a professional application.
